A clear Savoy vase designed by Alvar Aalto for Iittala. Designed in 1937, the lines of the vase were inspired by the plentiful bodies of water found throughout Aalto's native Finland. Iconic, bold, yet with a very natural movement that has been celebrated since its release. This remarkable ultramarine color is rare and no longer in production.
Acid etched printing on bottom (“ALVAR AALTO”). Light shelf wear and one 1/16" flea bite on rim. (See photos.)
