A pair of rare Nino Rota chairs in blue designed by Ron Arad for Cappellini in 2002. Reflecting Arad's exploration of forms and production processes, these twin-wall polyethylene chairs were constructed through a rotation moulding production. A single form was created within the mold with a smooth dark blue interior and seat and textured light blue exterior and headrest. The chairs are named after the renowned Italian film composer, Nino Rota.
Ron Arad's work can be found in the permanent collections of NYC's MoMA, the V&A in London, and Paris' Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris) and his public works are in public spaces in London, Tokyo, Seoul, Milan, Toronto, Tel Aviv and Singapore. He has produced designs for Vitra, Kartell, Moroso, Alessi, Driade, Cassina, Swarovski, and Magis.
In excellent condition with very minimal wear. Marked on rear of each chair: 'Nino Rota' by Ron Arad for Cappellini.
