A gently curved bent wood seat with slits in cut in the back to form a “V” sits on a frame with 2 tapered cylindrical legs in front and two curving chrome legs in back. Under the black fabric upholstered cushion, the bent wood seat matches the light birch wood legs. Clearly influenced by the Memphis design movement, this pair of chairs look as great in a colorful post modern setting as they do in a classically mid-century modern home.
In excellent vintage condition. One seat back has a 1/4” nick at the top. (See photos.) No maker’s mark but both chairs’ seats have “Made in Italy” labels on the underside.
