An elegant set of three vintage tessellated stone boxes (possibly marble or travertine) with brass accents from the 1970s or 1980s attributed to Maitland-Smith. A triangular shape with each box increasing in size. Each has a round brass pull on top, inlaid brass detail where the lid fits on the box, and black felt-lined interior. Consistent with the style, materials, and detailing of pieces produced by Paul Maitland-Smith's namesake company that manufactured many of their products in the Philippines. The stone has subtle light earth tone variations that contrast with the reflective brass accents. They blend wonderfully with Mid-Century Modern, Art Deco, and contemporary interiors.
In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, including a few small edge chips that are reflected in the photos. No visible maker's mark.
