A beautiful 1980s Italian postmodern table designed by Giorgio Cattelan for Cidue. The table's base is designed with two matte black enamel metal pieces in a T-shape. The two piece base allows for different sized tops, making this a versatile table that works equally well as a dining table or a desk. The rectangular glass top has has been sandblasted, giving it a sensuous and smooth texture.
In addition to founding Cattelan Italia, a well-regarded Italian furniture company, Giorgio Cattelan is known for his playful use of geometry to give his designs a sculptural quality. He also incorporates movement into his designs to make his tables extendable, and to accommodate various sized spaces.
In very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Signed on underside of base with the Cidue name and logo.
