As part of Marimekko's ongoing efforts to promote the brand worldwide, this piece is from a line of posters sent to distributors, press, and agents to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Marimekko in 1976 that focused on designers and makers at the company. Because they weren't available to the public, they are exceptionally rare and mostly exist in museums and in prominent collections. This poster highlights Finnish designer Maija Isola and her artistic contributions to Marimekko. Isola joined the predecessor company to Marimekko in 1949 and was employed by the design house until 1987, creating more than 500 fabric prints for Marimekko in her tenure, including some of the most brand's most iconic designs like Unikko
