Pott No. 35 Five Piece Sterling Silver Cutlery Set by Carl Pott

$850.00

Originally designed by Carl Pott in the Bauhaus tradition for the city of Cologne. Bold and masculine with a strong geometric foundation, the 35 pattern is a 1979 design utilizing broad, heavy flat handles to emphasize its strong lines. More commonly found in stainless steel, this five piece set of No. 35 settings is in the much rarer sterling silver version. Includes table fork, table spoon, table knife, salad fork and coffee spoon, as well as a binder and brochure with the full April 2004 catalog of Post pieces and their prices.

Pott's father, Carl Hugo Pott, founded the eponymous workshop in 1904 and produced collections by fellow modernists including Hermann Gretsch, Paul Voss, and Josef Hoffmann. The company has over 700 global awards and can be found in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.

In very good unused condition. Each piece is marked "925 Sterling Silber Pott Germany".
