A stunning set of four dining chairs designed by Jan Lunde Knudsen (1922-1990) in 1961 for Sorlie Møobler of Norway. Four chrome legs rise in straight tubular rods before tapering into pins that supports the curved upholstered backs. Minimalist yet sensuous, these are Bauhaus-influenced Scandinavian Modern at its very finest. And they're stackable!
In very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use including a few marks to the chrome. (See photos.) These have been professionally reupholstered and recovered in new Maharam upholstery with new foam.
