1980s Japanese Reverse Running Wall Clock by Maruman

$90.00

Now known as a maker many different consumer products, Maruman began in the watch and clocks business in the 1950s. This is a particularly eccecntric example of the company's clocks from the 1980s or 90s. Off-white border surrounds a black face with mirrored Arabic numbers from 1-12, Maruman and Quartz in mirrored letters ("ZTЯAUϘ ИAMUЯAM"), and a clock movement that runs in reverse. Tells perfect time if you look at in a mirror. A delightfully bizarre example of a wall clock that looks good, keeps good time, and will always keep people guessing what time it is!

In very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Takes a single AA battery and works well. Marked on front and with inspection sticker with Japanese characters and stamped letters and numbers on rear. Made in Japan.
