Two sets of four ceramic napkin rings (8 total) in the Manhattan pattern for Kato Kogei's Fujimori Collection. Fujimori was born in Japan in 1935 and won the National Art Award when he was just 19. He later worked in Chicago as a ceramics designer before returning to Japan in 1963. As Art Director for Kato Kogei Ceramics, he oversaw the design and distribution of his signature line. These pieces are perfect 1980s postmodern with a heavy dose of Art Deco and Memphis influence,.
