Born in Chicago in 1913, Japanese-American Kyohei Inukai studied at the Chicago Art Institute, National Academy of Design, and Art Student's League in New York before illustrating children's books in the 1940s and 50s. Much of Inukai's work is reminiscent of modern architectural design, which accounts for the large number of major U.S. corporations that own his work. lnukai was also a noted sculptor working primarily in steel and aluminum.
This 1979 serigraph (alternately titled "Flying High" and "Shapes in Motion") is hand signed and numbered by the artist (35/200). Unmatted and unframed.
