An outstanding postmodern ceramic vase by Austrian artist and designer Heide Warlamis (born 1942). Part of Warlamis' design series called the Vienna Collection, this vase has a triangular form that mimics a face from ancient Greek art in profile. It has a reddish-orange glaze with black facial features and white interior glaze, along with a symbol on the rear of the vase. Warlamis founded her Vienna studio focusing on small sculptures in 1975. In 1981, Warlamis began the development of her porcelain Vienna Collection designs, which is influenced by the Vienna Secessionist Movement and the Memphis Milano designs of the 1980s.
