A quintessentially postmodern espresso pot/coffee maker designed by the Memphis Milano master, Ettore Sottsass, for Lagostina in the 1980s. From Lagostina's Accademia line, this rare piece was made in Italy and available in a handful of color variations, all capturing the aesthetic of the time it was produced. This version has a purple body, pink triangular handle, and white triangular thumb handle, adding a touch of bright color to the morning coffee ritual.
In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, including marking inside and outside of water receptacle. Includes all original pieces (base, top, basket, tamper, and gasket).
