An iconic duo in modern design, Lella and Massimo Vignelli designed the Handkerchief Chair for Knoll in 1983 and it was released in 1985. Stackable with a generous seat and back, as well as organic lines suggestive of a handkerchief floating in the wind. The Vignelli's took great care to nail the ergonomics of the design, which yielded a chair that is as beautiful as it is comfortable. The chair's grey shell is made of compression molded, fiberglass reinforced polyester and the base is 7/16" metal and in black.
This is a set of five chairs. (If you're interested in individual chairs or pairs, please send a message.)
In vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, including marking at the top of the backs where the chair rubbed against a wall. Each chair has a silver maker's mark that says
23" x 22.5" x 29", seat height is 18"
