A classic piece of modern design combining elegance and functionality, the Knoll tulip armchair was designed by Eero Saarinen in 1957. It has a molded fiberglass seat shell, a swiveling cast aluminum base with a powder coat paint finish. It is found in the modern design collections of numerous institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, including a few marks on the edges, on one arm, and on the base. (Please see photos for detail.) Includes a new seat cushion in a beautiful red upholstery. Marked on underside of base. This piece is likely from the 1990s or 2000s.
