1980s Empire State Building Lamp by Takahashi Denson for Midori

$1,500.00

A fantastic and very rare Takahashi Denson-designed plastic lamp in the form of New York City's iconic Empire State Building. Manufactured by Midori in Japan in the 1980s, this lamp is a great postmodern/pop art version of the Art Deco architectural masterpiece. The lamp's base has a fluorescent bulb that causes the lamp's building shape, made form a single piece of mold blown plastic, to glow. Color of bulb can be changed to get the color you need. This iconic lamp can be seen in several classic 1980s movies including Coming to America and Big.

In very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.

11" x 9" x 39"
