1968 Chrome and Glass Sesann Coffee Table by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina

$1,650.00

An outstanding postmodern chrome and glass coffee table designed by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina in 1968, which has shades of John Mascheroni's Tubo line, Breuton's tables, Charles Pfister work for Knoll, Milo Baughman designs, and the Pace Collection.  Generally referred to as a "Sesann" table, it's correct name is the 622 table - or, alternately, a Bovisio table - and it was designed at the same time as Sesann sofa but not from that line.

The table's chrome frame is rectangular with rounded corners and cylindrical legs while the table top is mirrored glass with matching rounded corners.  With clean lines and no visible joinery, this simple yet sophisticated design will work alongside many decor styles.

In vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. There are a few corrosion spots on the chrome base, two chips to the glass' edge, and light scratching to glass surface. (See photos for detail.)  Dated March 1981 on the underside of the glass.
