1990s Handmade Postmodern Mantle Clock

$225.00

This wall clock looks like it should be on the set of Saved by the Bell or Yo! MTV Raps. Showing a strong Memphis influence and resembling the work of Kurt B. Delbanco for Morphos, George Sowden and Nathalie du Pasquier for Neos, and Richard Birkett's splatter paint clock, as well as clocks produced by Junghans, Staiger, and Canetti in the same era. This piece is constructed from two stacked layers of acrylic with graphic elements and numbers affixed to each. The result is a 3 dimensional wall clock that is far more than just a time-telling instrument.

In very good vintage condition with new hands and movement. Dated 1997 and signed illegibly by the artist.

6.5" x 2" x 7.5"
