A swan-necked jug in black bucchero ceramic designed by Gio Ponti, produced by Costantino for the 1997 Neoponti collection, Italy. The neck rises in a long flattened curve from a low, broad spherical body and folds outward into a small pinched pouring lip, counterbalanced by a single handle that arcs high and wide from rim to base. Dense satin-black glaze.
One of the shapes from Ponti's Etruscan-inspired bucchero group, made with the Gubbio ceramicist Carlo Alberto Rossi and put back into production by Costantino as an authorized re-edition. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or restoration. Accompanied by its original Neoponti booklet and manufacturer's box.
