Allan D'Arcangelo (1930-1998) was an American artist and printmaker best known for his work bringing in elements of pop art, minimalism, hard-edge painting, and surrealism. "Icarus" is a 1978 screen print bringing together a Pop Art-inspired mix of a nude pinup model, an astronaut, a rocket ship, and an American flag hanging over the entire scene.
Signed and numbered in pencil (106 from an edition of 150). In good vintage condition with light signs of wear (see photos.)
