A three cushion sofa designed by Bruce Hannah and Andrew Morrison for Knoll International. Part of the Morrison-Hannah Collection (released in 1973 and winner of an Industrial Design Award). The mid-century nodern sofa is supported by a brown enameled extruded aluminum frame and features red wool upholstery, a color combination that is as timeless as the design.
It has a simple sling design by which the cushions are hung from the frame, providing a floating effect that is both comfortable and a joy to look at. (Plus, kids can pull the cushions up and make a fort out of the sofa without any damage to the piece!) Plus, with a single allen wrench, the sofa can be disassembled and carried by a single person.
The Hannah Morrison sofas’ space age design pair well with mid-century, modern, and contemporary designed living rooms, bedrooms, offices, or art studios.
The frame has had some touch-up painting done to repair marks to the frame’s enamel, giving it an almost pristine appearance. The sofa has the original vintage red wool fabric. There are two barely noticeable marks to the upholstery (see pictures).
