A beautiful mid-century modern George Nelson Executive Office Group credenza for Herman Miller. Walnut case with rich grain and original finish, well preserved walnut laminate top, chrome accents and original legs, and two walnut veneer sliding doors with chrome pulls.
Versatile enough for media storage (books, LPs, etc) or stereo equipment in a living room, organizing office materials, or as a bedroom dresser. Left side has one large file drawer, a smaller drawer and one adjustable shelf; right side has 2 adjustable shelves.
In excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Four inch pieces of veneer missing on bottom right of front and marking to corners of case. (See photos.) Back is painted black.
This credenza was donated by IBM to the Fairfield State Hospital (a psychiatric hospital in Newtown, CT) and purchased from the estate of the former head of psychiatry at Fairfield. Original IBM inventory label on one leg.
