A lovely mid-century wall clock with brushed silver face, gold tone numbers, black and red hands, and a walnut case. Likely designed by Arthur Umanoff for George Nelson Associates for Howard Miller, Umanoff clock design work for the company dates as far back as 1964, putting this clock in the late 1960s to early 1970s. Model number 589 is an exceedingly hard to find example from this era of Howard Miller's output and has all of the hallmarks of George Nelson's work for the company.
In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, including evidence of a few of the numbers being repaired (see photos). Takes a single C battery and works great. Marked "Howard Miller" on face and on back.
