The Piccola was Pablo Pardo’s first manufactured product design. The form is minimal but playful and was intended to be used as a personal utility lamp. Its Italian glove leather covered base resembles a boxer’s speed bag and can be tilted to any angle. Piccola is part of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection and won ID Magazine’s Gold Award in 1993.
In excellent vintage condition. Originally produced with a spun aluminum shade that sat on a chandelier bulb, this pair lost their shades along the way and switched to a rounder bulb that doesn’t require a shade. On/off switch is on power cord.
