Designed in 1981 and no longer in production, Piero De Martini's Naviglio coffee table has an enameled metal base, a dovetailed light wood frame, and contrasting squares of slate inset to form the table top. The clean lines, sophisticated mix of materials, and simple construction allows this coffee table to fit in almost any home or office interior. Piero De Martini, an architect and designer, was born in Milan in 1939 and went on to collaborate with Molteni, Venini, Arteluce, Acerbis, and, most of all, Cassina.
In very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, including marking on one edge of the wood frame. Remnants of original Cassina label remain on underside.
