An exceptional set of early 12-legged Triple Play tables designed by Gaetano Pesce (b. 1939) for Fish Design. This set was produced in March 1996 and is #11 in an edition of 1000. With circular resin tops, each of the whimsical yellow, blue, and red tables have three holes in the top, a transparent center, stainless steel structure and flexible resin feet. The resin table tops are poured into a mold and then allowed to cure, creating a durable surface that is resistant to scratches and stains. The tables are stackable and can be used in a variety of configurations, making them perfect as side, coffee, or night tables. A truly unique and whimsical addition to any home.

One of the most progressive and visionary designers of the 20th Century, Gaetano Pesce is well-known for his lifelong investigation into atypical materials, most notably resin. Throughout his career, Pesce has been committed to the idea of "mass-produced originals," creating pieces that retain the human touch in their design and manufacture. His designs are held in the collections of the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in NYC, among others.

In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Signs of a repair on one table's foot. Includes original paperwork and certificate of authenticity with manufacturing date and serial number.
