Vintage Cream Ericsson Ericofon Cobra Phone

$125.00

One of the icons of 20th century design, the Ericofon by Ericsson, known as the "cobra phone" for its sleek, modern, and serpentine styling. The Ericofon was designed in the late 1940s and went into production in 1956.

The first phone to combine dial and handset in to a single unit, the Cobra phone sits upright on the rotary dial keeping the center red button depressed. Pick up the phone to answer or dial a phone number. Examples of the cobra phone can be found in important design museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City.

In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Tested and works!
