A perfectly designed mid-century modern wall clock by Arthur Umanoff for powerhouse clock maker Howard Miller. The model 611 Stationmaster has a round solid oak case, white face with black roman numerals, and black and red hands, including a red sweeping second hand.
Arthur Umanoff (1923-1985) was a prolific mid-century designer whose designs include, in addition to many clocks, a range of décor items, home and office furniture, bars and barstools, and patio furniture. Howard Miller was founded in 1926 and, starting in 1947, produced a huge number of collectible modern design clocks by George Nelson Associates. At that time, Nelson was also Director of Design at Herman Miller Furniture Company.
In very good condition with light wear consistent with age. Takes a single C battery and keeps great time. Marked on face with "Howard Miller" name and logo and on back with original label.
